Misu (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Misu application at https://app.misu.care. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.
Account information: When you create a Misu account we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number.
Contact data: You may add friends and contacts to Misu by entering their name, phone number, and email address. This data is stored solely to enable you to send hangout invitations and reminders to those individuals on your behalf.
Usage data: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited to operate and improve the service.
Communications: We store records of hangout invitations, RSVPs, and reminder messages sent through the platform.

We do not sell your personal information or your contacts’ information to third parties. We do not use your data or your contacts’ data for marketing purposes unrelated to the Misu service.
Program: Misu uses SMS to send hangout invitations, RSVP confirmations, schedule updates, and reminders to phone numbers provided by Misu account holders.
Consent: By adding a contact’s phone number to Misu, the Misu account holder confirms they have that contact’s permission to be sent SMS messages through Misu on their behalf. Recipients consent to receive messages and may opt out at any time as described below.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies. A recipient typically receives one invitation message, up to two reminder messages (three days before and the day of the hangout), and a confirmation or update message per scheduled hangout.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply to messages sent and received through Misu.
Opt-out: Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to any Misu message. After opting out, no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP or INFO at any time to receive support information. Reply START or UNSTOP to re-enable messages after opting out.
Mobile information sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. The information (such as phone numbers) obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS communication purposes will not be sold or shared with any third parties.

We share your data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate Misu:
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policy and data processing agreements. We do not share your data with any other third parties without your consent.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page in the Misu app. Contact data you have added is deleted immediately upon account deletion.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@misu.care.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated effective date.
